If you want to apply for management programs, you can take the Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023). This test is accepted by both IIMs and some non-IIM member institutions. To be eligible for the Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023), candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or educational institution. The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, with a relaxation of 5% for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD categories. The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice followed by the respective university/institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the respective university/institution.

Candidates appearing for the final year of their bachelor’s degree program or those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply for CAT 2023. However, such candidates will be allowed to join the program provisionally only if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their university/institution stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the degree/equivalent qualification on or before the date stipulated by the respective IIM. It should be noted that eligibility verification may be carried out by the IIMs at various stages of the selection process.

CAT 2023 registration will commence on August 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. and will close on September 14, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. The registration guide will have all the necessary information. During registration, candidates need to select six preferred test cities from a drop-down menu. They will be allotted one of the six preferred cities subject to availability after the last date of registration.

If none of the preferred cities are available, they will be allotted a nearby city. The admit cards can be downloaded from October 2023 until the exam date.
